Touchdown in Tokyo, I dunno just where to go

Only a really quick update as I'm absolutely knackered. The flight was not as fun as I had anticipated. Didn't make much of the in flight entertainment actually cause all I wanted to do was sleep. I flew with my friend Ada who I had met once before at the 360 departure party so I had company. Arrived at 6:40am and it was already stifling hot even at that time. The video above was at about 8:30 once I started getting bored waiting for our student mentors to pick us up.

Left the airport at 9:00 on the Keisei line with my student mentor, transferred to the JR Keihin-Tohoku line. Their train system is fanbloodytastic. I spoke about 80 percent Japanese which, I quite did not expect to get away with! Got to my dorm at about 11:30, showered and bought a bento at the conbini, went back to the dorm, saw nobody around so I crashed in my room and chowed down. Knocked back some paracetamol as I had a headache at this point from the heat then slept til 6.

Finally got the internet working, Skyped home, then meandered down to the lobby where lots of people finally appeared. Most of the people I met seemed to only have quite basic Japanese knowledge, so it was English for the night. Lots of Americans, and people from a bunch of European countries. Had dinner with some of them. Got back to DK House and played this game called Jungle Speed. It was this weird card game I'd never seen before. Which brings me to here - in a nutshell.

I didn't plan on writing that much - hah!

Orientation tomorrow and photos to come.
